#25 Research/Planning – December Schedule and Full Production Timeline

Hey everyone, Adrian here. First blog back from Thanksgiving break, and wow… what a week. I spent the beginning of break getting all four of my wisdom teeth removed, so most of it was just me recovering and looking like a chipmunk. That’s also why I wasn’t updating you guys as much, but Thanksgiving itself was great. Anyway, enough about that. Let’s jump into what actually matters, because me and Tati sat down today and created the full production schedule for December and the start of January.

Since we are officially back, the first thing on my list this week is catching up on all the blogs and getting everything updated. At the same time, me and Tati are planning out the scenes in detail. That includes camera placement, which characters appear in which moments, what props they use, and most importantly, the locations we want for the final film. Locking this down early makes everything smoother once we hit scriptwriting.

December Roadmap

On December 6, when I go watch the new Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 movie with the cast, I am also going to sit them down and update them on everything. They have known about this project since the start of the school year, and I constantly remind them that they are in this film whether they like it or not. I basically pressured all of them into doing it, but that is what teamwork looks like in my world.

Next week from the 8 to the 12, the goal is to finalize all the scenes and start the actual script. Scriptwriting is my favorite and least favorite thing at the same time. After last year’s script for Fading Into You, I am hoping to use the same structure again but better. The challenge here is that we need a full beginning, middle, and end in five minutes, so this script is going to be tight, fast, and clean.

From December 15 to 18, me and Tati will be polishing the script completely. No cheesy lines, no weird moments, no twenty different drafts like last year. We are aiming for one strong, final version.

On December 19, right after the script is done, I will meet with the cast or group call everyone to explain what is happening next and send them their scripts so they can study them. And by “study,” I mean skim through and memorize the vibes, because let’s be real, nobody is memorizing anything during winter break, including me.

And then comes the fun part. I will be spending Christmas and my birthday in Colorado, experiencing snow for the first time, snowmobiling, and probably pretending I am in Frozen meeting Sven.

January Roadmap

Once winter break is over and we come back in January, the real prep begins. From January 6 to 9, me and my partner will clean up every single detail we have: scenes, props, gear, cast notes, everything. On January 10, I will host a full cast meetup at my house where we will run through the entire film plan from start to finish and remind each cast member of their role. Our cast for this project includes me, Tati, Diego, Enmanuel, Cesar, and William.

After that meeting, we will have around a week to prep for filming, because on January 17 and 18, filming officially begins. We are dedicating two full weekends to this: January 17 to 18, and January 24 to 25, making sure we get absolutely everything shot at the highest quality we can.

After filming is complete, the editing phase starts. This is where me and Tati go through each clip, trim, color adjust, add animations, sound, and all the post production polish. Once the film is officially done, we move on to the CCR, which this year will be in essay format instead of a video. I will talk more about that next year because right now I have absolutely no plan for it, but trust me, the ideas will come.

That is everything for now. The schedule is set, the plan is clear, and we are officially in the busiest phase of this entire project. I will keep updating you all with every new step, and hopefully very soon we will reveal the official title of the film.
