Hey everyone, Adrian here. For our A Level preliminary task, we picked the 1 minute horror film over the trailer, doc, or music video options. This gives us more control over story and visuals while keeping it short.
Plot
The killer walks into a dark garage, grabs a wrench, and approaches a blindfolded girl. There’s a poster behind her with names written on it. He removes her blindfold, she looks around scared, and we cut to a blood splatter. He wipes the blood with his finger and crosses her name off the list. We might also add a body bag shot.
Style & Safety
We’re going for a gritty, Terrifier style look, dark scenes, heavy shadows, and lots of fake blood. All weapons and effects are safe, props only, and fully supervised. We might include prop guns in the background for set design.
Extras
We plan to film between Sept 19-21, and we’re heading to Spirit Halloween to grab blood effects. For the poster, we’ll use a smoke machine to add depth. We’ll also release behind the scenes shots, costume previews, and inside looks at the set.
This task helps us prep for the 5 minute film later this year. Stay tuned.
