#19 Research/Planning – Tactical Gear Loadout for My Character (Adrian)

Hey everyone, Adrian here. This blog is all about the complete tactical loadout I am putting together for my character in the five minute film.

This has easily been the most detailed and research heavy part of planning so far, and I want to walk through every piece of gear, every reference, and how I built out the full setup using inspiration from the YouTube video titled Ghost MW2 Loadout in Real Life.

The creator in that video breaks down Ghost’s outfit from Modern Warfare in real life, piece by piece. He explains how the mask works, how the gear layers together, and even small touches like adding black face paint around the eyes to make the mask look more immersive. I will definitely be doing that since it adds a lot of realism to the character.

After watching the video multiple times, I created a full visual diagram using screenshots and every Amazon product I plan to buy. This helped me keep everything organized so I could see how the full costume will look once everything is put together.

For the helmet setup, I am using a Bump Army Tactical Helmet which will be paired with replica GPNVG18 night vision goggles. I also included a helmet mounted flashlight for extra detail. On top of that, the helmet will feature a British Union Jack patch to match the SAS inspired look that Ghost is known for in the Modern Warfare series. A custom name patch will also be added and it will read SAS.

For the upper body, I selected a ReFire Gear tactical fleece jacket. This resembles the type of clothing Ghost wears, especially in his darker loadouts. Over the jacket I will be wearing a tactical vest with magazine panels, along with a triple magazine pouch in the front. Two prop airsoft magazines will be added to give the vest a full and authentic look. The video also recommended glow sticks on the vest for realism so I will be adding those as well to match the reference.

For the lower body, I will be using a MOLLE pistol thigh holster that can hold a prop pistol, along with a tactical duty belt. These two items match the setup shown in the video where the creator explains how Ghost wears a simple but effective belt system with just enough gear to make it believable on screen.

For gloves, I am using tactical skeleton gloves which add personality and match the theme. All of these items were chosen based on accuracy, practicality, and screen presence. My goal is to nail the look as close as possible while still making it fit my character within the story.

The YouTube video also mentioned adding tape detailing to the helmet to recreate Ghost’s signature white stripes. I plan to copy this exact idea and apply the same style, using tape and weathering it so it looks realistic when filmed.

Right now this entire loadout is my top priority. I want all of these items fully ordered and finished by the end of this month. Getting it done early lets us move straight into script writing and heavier story development without any delays. The mask should be arriving this upcoming Monday which I am extremely excited for.

Once the full gear is assembled, I will test fit everything and share the results in a future update. I also created a full diagram with every item laid out to help me visualize the entire loadout and keep things organized. This project is something I have wanted to do for a long time and finally having a real reason to build this costume makes it even more exciting.

I will also be revealing the details behind Tati’s costume very soon in an upcoming blog. Stay tuned for that.
